The symposium will increase institutional awareness of digital copyright and initiate a conversation on trends and publishing models. The symposium will bring together two of Canada’s foremost experts on digital copyright – Michael Geist, Canada Research Chair of Internet and E-commerce Law at the University of Ottawa and Marcus Bornfreund, Creative Commons Canada. The symposium will explore current issues in copyright and potential trends and directions for educators.
